I was really pleased with the recent IPSY glam bag. For those of you who don’t know, IPSY is a service that will send you some of the best make up and skin care lines, in sample form each month for $10. It also provides you with both Brand and IPSY discounts on ALL of the products featured that month. You receive a small pouch that contains everything and five items to sample and review (if you choose). At first I was skeptical – sort of like, “Why do I need this?” but I decided to try and I really love it! I’ve received lip sticks, lip glosses, make
up brushes, nail polishes, eye shadows, mascaras, eyeliners, moisturizers, face masks, hair masks – all sorts of beauty items! And they are all great quality (you can find most in Ulta or Sephora) and the more you review, the more the products get tailored to what you like. So for example, if I get a lip color and in my review I say I “Love It” more colors in that color family will come to me since that apparently matches my taste, skin tone, etc. After nearly a year, I have yet to get anything that I was like “Oh God – WHY!?” So anywho, that’s IPSY. The Dreamers Bag: It was cute. Very Freelyfe with a sunny sort of tye-dye vibe. I usually give my pouches away to people I know that have little girls so they can throw it in their dance or cheer bag, but this one I’m keeping for myself (sorry, kiddos!)
Tarte LipSurgence lip creme in Wonder: At first glance I was like “mmmm not sure of this shade” then I put it on and naturally – loved it! It goes on smooth and is long lasting, and very light. I would definitely purchase this!
Adesse New York Organic Infused Gel Effect Nail Lacquer in Irina: I only needed two coats of this nail polish, which I liked. It was pretty standard as far as drying time but I LOVED the color. It’s so perfect for Spring when you want more of a subtle look. I painted my nails on Friday and have chipping now (following Tuesday); however, I will add that I also have a hot tub that I have been spending some time in and that much soaking would cause any nail to chip.
L.A.B Just Blending In Brush: It’s nice! Soft, blends nicely – I mean there are only so many things you can say about a brush – but I like it!
OFRA Cosmetics Eyeshadow in Boehmian: This is a very pretty, copper-ish color with subtle shimmer. I thought it was a nice color – sort of latte-esc? Very pretty, didn’t flake once it was on or fall, spread nicely, no clumping.
Moroccanoil Treatment: This was pretty standard as far as your Moroccan Oils are concerned. It made my hair shinier and smoother than without it. There’s nothing that really stood out to me about it good or bad – so, I would call this a great product to receive in my bag but not one that I would shout from the rooftops about.
